This year will be the fifth year that the Challenge Cup has run. The main aim of the series in 2004 was to promote & encourage fun & friendly competition between clubs running 1/10th scale On-Road & Off-Road electric powered cars. This aim still remains today. An additional benefit of the series is that it provides an opportunity for clubs & drivers to share knowledge & advice. All drivers benefit from the improvement in club standards & can then enjoy racing to a greater degree.
In 2008, there will again be two series running - one for On-Road, mainly for 4wd touring cars with the Tamiya Mini as well, the other for Off-Road buggies & trucks. There will be four rounds of On-Road & five rounds of Off-Road. The host clubs for On-Road are Lithgow, Illawarra, Castle Hill & ACT, with Castle Hill, Maitland, St Ives, Ryde & Canberra hosting the Off-Road challenge.
